What is Higher Trails?
Higher Trails is an organization dedicated to both horse and human.
The relationship with the horse is a way of thinking. At Higher Trails we encourage the development of unique and wonderful bonds between human and horse, as our rider-members take a horse through his therapy or healing or learning, or our Equine Assisted Learning students realize their true potential!
Through bonding, we see the horse achieve more, become greater, and develop his highest potential. We also see the human develop confidence, competence and courage – not only with the horse, but with life.
We teach SULIS, the ancient art of breath and body to not only prepare your horse physically for work and to detect and alleviate pain in your horse - but to connect with him on a whole other level.
We learn and teach the language of equuis – the unique and wonderful world of herd dynamics, equine communication and the functions of leadership.
